Finally tackled replacing a couple of windows in my house this weekend, and honestly, it wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be. Watched a bunch of tutorials first (thank you, YouTube), but the real lifesavers were having the right tools handy. A good pry bar was a total must-have—seriously, don't even try without one. Also, a decent cordless drill saved me from going nuts with screws, and shims... lots and lots of shims (you'll thank yourself later).
I thought I'd be fine without a level since "eyeballing" seemed easy enough, but um... yeah, that didn't work out so great at first, haha. Had to redo one window completely because it looked like it belonged in a funhouse.
Anyway, feeling pretty proud now that it's done and looks legit professional. Curious if anyone else here has tackled window replacements themselves and what tools or little tricks made your life easier?

Yeah, eyeballing can be deceiving—especially with windows. Another underrated tool is a suction cup glass lifter; makes positioning way easier, especially if you're working solo. Learned that one the hard way myself...
