After months of indecision (and way too many samples cluttering my garage), I finally settled on simple craftsman-style trim for our windows. Honestly, I wasn't sure at first, but now that it's installed and painted, it totally transformed the room. Feels cozy and classic without being too fussy, you know? Curious if anyone else had a similar "aha" moment with their window trim choices or stumbled onto something unexpectedly awesome.

Craftsman-style trim does have that cozy vibe, but honestly, when we redid our windows, I went with something even simpler—just flat, minimalist trim. At first, it felt a bit too plain, but after a while, I realized it made the room feel bigger and brighter. Guess it's all about what you're aiming for. Sometimes less detail can actually open up a space more than you'd expect...

I get what you're saying about minimalist trim opening things up, but I've found that sometimes a bit of detail can actually help define a room better. Worked on a project recently where the homeowners initially wanted super clean lines, but after we mocked up some simple craftsman-style trim, they realized it gave the space more character without feeling cluttered. Guess it depends on the room and lighting too...every space has its own personality.

I totally get the appeal of minimalist trim, but honestly, when we moved into our first home, the rooms felt kinda bare and unfinished with super simple trim. We ended up adding just a little bit of detail—nothing fancy, just subtle grooves and edges—and it made a huge difference. It gave the space some warmth and definition without making it feel smaller. Maybe it's about finding that sweet spot between too plain and overly ornate...?
