- Totally agree on flexible trim saving sanity—especially in older homes where nothing is square.
- I’ve seen folks get creative with paint, too. Sometimes just painting the inside edge of the frame a bold color makes the whole thing pop, even if the trim isn’t perfect.
- Caulk is my best friend for hiding weird gaps. Not glamorous, but it works, and you can always touch it up later if things shift more.
- For one rental, I actually used self-adhesive foam molding. It looked decent from a distance and cost next to nothing. Not sure I’d recommend for forever homes, but for a quick fix, it did the trick.
- I know some people swear by peel-and-stick wallpaper around the frame, but I haven’t tried that myself. Seems like it could peel in humidity?
- One thing to watch: flexible trim can sometimes yellow or get brittle over time, especially in direct sun. Worth keeping an eye on if your windows get a lot of light.

Ever mess with those pre-made corner blocks? I’ve found they help cover up less-than-perfect miters, but sometimes they look a bit chunky. Curious if anyone’s found a style that blends in better...
