I've been dealing with this annoying window condensation thing for a while now—living in a humid area is great for plants, not so much for windows, you know? Anyway, I've narrowed down my options to either getting a decent dehumidifier or trying out some of that insulating window film stuff.

The dehumidifier seems like it'd tackle the humidity issue head-on, but I'm worried about the noise and electricity bill. On the other hand, window film sounds cheaper and quieter, but does it really work that well? I mean, is it just a temporary fix or does it actually keep the condensation away long-term?

Anyone tried either of these methods? Which one worked better for you and why? I'm kinda leaning towards the film because it's less hassle, but if it's just gonna peel off or something after a month, I'd rather not waste my time.

I tried the window film last winter and honestly, it worked better than I expected. Didn't peel off or anything, and condensation was way less noticeable. Plus, installation wasn't too tricky...definitely worth a shot before investing in a dehumidifier.
