Not totally sold on skipping the windows, honestly. I swapped to double-pane last winter and yeah, it didn’t drop my bill a ton, but the house feels way less drafty and the furnace isn’t running non-stop. Solar’s awesome if your roof gets enough sun, but if your insulation/windows are trash, you’re just leaking all that saved energy anyway. Maybe not as flashy as panels, but I like starting with the basics.
