Been thinking about replacing my old wooden window frames with aluminum ones. Heard they're pretty durable and easy to maintain, which sounds great because honestly, I'm kinda tired of repainting wood every few years. But then again, someone mentioned they might not insulate as well in colder climates. Anyone here have experience with aluminum frames? Any little hacks or tips to make them more energy efficient would be awesome.

I've had aluminum frames for about 5 years now, and yeah, they're super low-maintenance—no more repainting nightmares. But you're right about insulation; they can get chilly. Best hack I've found is thermal curtains or adding weatherstripping...makes a noticeable difference.
